The De Hoge Veluwe National Park is a park in the province of Gelderland. It is a 38-minute drive from Van der Valk Hotel Leusden-Amersfoort and offers ample parking.

The Grebbe Line is a water line that was built in the 18th century to defend against enemy invasions from the east. The waterline runs from the Nederrijn at the Grebbeberg, via Veenenddaal and Amersfoort, to Spakenburg.
