Valkenbos

Valkenbos x Green stay

A green future

For quite some time, Van der Valk Hotel Leusden has been aware of sustainable entrepreneurship, and this is noticeable in our daily operations. Several initiatives and actions have been implemented to reduce waste production and decrease water consumption and paper usage.

Plant a tree in the Valkenbos during your stay.

Greening in the Netherlands

Van der Valk Hotel Leusden-Amersfoort works with Green Stay. With this concept, as a guest, you can choose to make a positive contribution to greening the Netherlands. If you choose to skip your interim cleaning during your stay, we will plant a tree on your behalf in the Valkenbos.

By choosing our Valkenbos initiative, you play a crucial role in revitalizing the Valkenbos. With each overnight stay without a towel change, you contribute to the replanting of our 40-hectare forest, which has been in our possession since 1979.

Not only do you support CO2 storage - with one tree absorbing approximately one ton of CO2 during its lifecycle - but you also strengthen our commitment to sustainable business practices.

Your decision has a direct impact: for every saving on your cleaning, we will plant a new tree, contributing to our goal of planting 10,000 trees annually.
